The Department of Computer Science & Engineering was established in the year 2014 with the intake of 60 students. The CSE department has well maintained class rooms and well equipped laboratories to carry out workshops, seminars & projects. The department offers excellent academic environment with a team of highly qualified faculty members to inspire the students to develop their technical skills and inculcate the spirit of team work in them. The Department has MOUs and constant interaction with highly reputed & successful industries. The staffs of CSE department take personal care of the students in counselling them about their progress in the subjects. Faculty members are involved in their research activities (Ph.D programs) under reputed universities (JSSSTU, VTU). Parents are made aware of their wards about their attendance, studies, behaviour and attitude towards learning. Industry Visits and guest lecturers have also been organized that have become the platform to gain the knowledge.The department also takes initiative to improve the soft skills, analytical capabilities and verbal communication of the students so that they can face the global competition.
The basic objective of CSE department is to provide students with a learning environment keeping the changing landscape of the field in mind with the objective to enable the outgoing students to take the lead role in steady and rapid advances in computing technologies. Being the HOD of the CSE department, it gives me great pleasure to see the development of the department since the past few years. Our Mentoring and Training department nurtures and guides the students and organizes many programs to make them industry fit and right choice for the companies. I am also proud to announce that one of our student KRUTHI H D from the department has been awarded with Swetha R. Memorial Gold Medal Award for her academic excellence in VTU. Finally, I can tell that the CSE department provides platform for the students to achieve their career goals.
