Prof. Savitha A P

Prof. Savitha A P (born March 8, 1978) is an Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate from Mysore University. Bachelor of Engineering(B.E) is secured from esteemed PES College of Engineering, Mandya in the year 1996-2000 and Master of technology (M.Tech) is studied in esteemed Sri Jaya Chamarajendra college of Engineering (SJCE) (QIP 2004-2007), Mysuru from VTU. In the year 2021 PhD under VTU has been secured. She has served as temporary lecturer for 4 years in PESCE Mandya (2000-2004), then as a Senior lecturer for 3 years (2004-2007) in GSSSIETW Mysuru, and then as a Assistant Professor followed by Associate Professor for 8 years (2007-2015) in BGSIT, Bellur. And then from 2015 to till date serving as Professor and HOD in the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Welcome to our E&C department of Cauvery Institute of Technology, Mandya.Department started functioning from Aug-2015 with strength of 28 out of 60 intake. OurE&C Engineering is a course-based degree that is structured to assist qualified engineers in the advancement of their professional careers and to provide students with the skills necessary to address key technological challenges. Our Engineering degree provides an excellent opportunity for rural students as trained engineers to prepare for qualification exams required for registration as a professional engineer. Our institution offers the four technical streams within our Engineering program to allow students to receive specialized training in the specific areas of Engineering.

The department is well equipped with modern laboratory facilities and good infrastructure. The Department has major laboratories namely; Analog Electronics Lab, Digital Electronics Lab, Communication Lab, Advanced Communication Lab, Microprocessor / Microcontroller Lab, Very Large-Scale Integration Lab, Digital Signal Processing Lab, Advanced Signal Processing Lab, Programming Lab, Power Electronics Lab supported by latest Matlab R2016a.
